Sica Leroux RMT Bio
Sica graduated from Vancouver College of Massage Therapy where she had the privilege of working with talented and passionate instructors. There she learned the art and science of being an RMT and further developed her intuition.
Sica has experience working with pregnant women, infants, athletes (cyclists, rock climbers, MMA fighters, runners and dancers), TMJ Disorder, headaches, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, chronic pain and general stress. Using a combination of deep tissue, trigger point, Craniosacral and fascial modalities, Sica focuses her treatments on relaxation and nervous system regulation. You may experience the wonderful world of “the floaties” during a session.
Listing off a few of the techniques Sica has added to her tool belt: Womb care for third trimester (Mandy Verghese), Trauma Imprint Repair for babies, children and adults (Jamie Lee Mock, Kari Toft), Craniosacral (Kari Toft), Breathwork (Robin Clements), IASTM (Prohealthsys), and Yoga for Remedial Exercises (Leigh Anne Milne).
Before becoming an RMT Sica spent over twenty years studying acting, body language and expression, movement and dance. Combining travel and education, she has her Personal Training certification from WYN in Melbourne, Australia and 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training from Wise Living Yoga Academy in Thailand. Sica integrates subtle movements, breath and mind-body connection from these studies into her remedial exercises while encouraging you to take care of your health.
When Sica is not practicing Massage Therapy, she is exercising, dancing, stretching, singing, reading and writing, or spending time with the people that inspire her.
